Spinnaker Coating, LLC, a manufacturer of pressure sensitive paper and film products, announces a portfolio of products tested and approved by Domino for use in the OEM’s digital label press.

“Understanding that digital printing is the future of the label industry, we are excited to work with Domino to provide a total solution to our customers’ labeling needs.  We have worked directly with the press manufacturer to test our material so that our customers can have confidence in running Spinnaker stock through their Domino press,” says Joel Ulrich, roll marketing specialist. 

Labelstocks tested and approved on the N610i model include: Bright Silver Metallized Paper, 2.0 mil Bright Silver Metallized BOPP, SafeTE™ Synthetic tamper evident, and Holographic Rainbow PET, in addition to a Semi Gloss construction.

“Domino N610i digital UV inkjet label press prints at up to 246 fpm in rapid production mode, 164 fpm in high-quality mode, utilizes 7-colors (CMYKOV + White) with extended color gamut covering over 90% of the Pantone book, and is designed and engineered to print on a wide range of substrates and materials,” says Bill Myers, marketing manager at Domino. “Spinnaker Coating provides a variety of substrates and materials that Domino has tested and approved.”

“We value the investment printers are making in the digital market, and want to be a part of their converting success,” adds Julie Billing, Roll Product manager at Spinnaker. “While customers have had good results with facestocks not specifically tested by Domino, we will continue to send additional facestocks for the benefit of OEM approval, and will update our Trimless list with those items as appropriate.”
